Oatflakes - "Havreflarn"

  • 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine
  • 1 cup quick oat flakes
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg (lightly beaten)
  • 1 Tbsp of flour
  • 1 tsp of baking powder

Pour the warm melted butter over the oats and mix in sugar, the lightly beaten egg and the flour mixed with the baking powder. Grease and flour a cookie sheet - this is important so that the cookies won't stick.

Drop small teaspoon full portions of the mixture onto the cookie sheet. Do not have more than 6 to each cookie sheet as the cookies will spread out during baking. Bake at 350°F for approximately 6 minutes.

Loosen the cookies with a thin knife as soon as they are done and bend them over a round object. A vacuum cleaner hose, wrapped in waxed paper, works great for this.

This recipe yields 30 cookies. If you want to fancy them up a little - dip one end in melted chocolate. Mmmmmmmm...Enjoy!:)

  • 50g smält smör el. Margarin
  • 2 dl (60g) havregryn
  • 1 ½ dl strösocker
  • 1 ägg
  • 1 msk vetemjöl
  • 1 tsk bakpulver

Häll det smälta smöret varmt över grynen, blanda sedan ner sockret, det lätt uppvispade ägget samt mjölet blandat med bakpulvret. Lägg små klickar av smeten på väl smord och mjölad plåt. Se till att de ligger glest. De flyter nämligen ut vid gräddningen.

Grädda I medelgod ungnsvärme, 225°C, ca 6 min. Lossa kakorna från plåten med en tunn kniv så snart de är fädiga och böj dem över en käpp e.d. (Ca 30 st).

Ena kanten kan doppas I smält choklad för att se lite festligare ut. Det smakar också mycket gott.
