The Scandinavian Society of Nova Scotia's
Events Page
During the course of the year, the Scandinavian Society takes part in a number of different
activities that help to increase awareness and understanding of the Scandinavian cultures. They
also help "transplanted" Scandinavians to carry on some of the traditions of their homeland
while living here in Nova Scotia. As always, members that are non-Scandinavians are welcome to
attend these annual events so that they may get a chance to experience some of these unique traditions without
having to live in one of the Scandinavian countries.
In the past, The Scandinavian Society has hosted and been involved in events that are not necessarily held every
year but they are a lot of fun for the members to participate in. Some of these past events are linked to
various other events taking place in the province such as the Nova Scotia International Tattoo
while others deal more with social outings and different workshops available to the members.
Every year these "special" events change according to what is happening at the time but members
are notified well in advance of the planned event.
From time to time, we will also be listing some upcoming events happening in either Nova Scotia or around the world
with Scandinavian connections that may be of interest to both our Society members and non-members alike. So keep checking back for any new events that
may be happening near you. Of course, if you know of any upcoming events that you would like people to be aware of, please email
us the details and we'll be happy to post it for you and let everyone know:)
